Liverpool is the closest part of Pickering to us. We are on Colmar Avenue, just off Liverpool Road, which in practice means most of this neighbourhood is a few minutes away rather than a scheduled visit.
That matters more for some jobs than others. A dripping tap can wait until Thursday. A burst supply line or a drain backing up into a basement cannot, and the difference between a plumber ten minutes away and one coming from Scarborough is measured in what the water does while you wait.
The housing here is a wider mix than most of Pickering — detached and semi-detached from the seventies and eighties alongside townhouse
blocks and low-rise. In attached properties the drainage is often shared, which changes how a blockage behaves: if your neighbour's fixtures are draining slowly at the same time as yours, the problem is in the shared stack rather than in your own pipework, and it is worth establishing that before anyone starts pulling traps apart.
The detached stock from that era has the usual seventies and eighties problems — original shut-off valves that have seized, water heaters well past replacement, and supply connections that have been quietly weeping under a sink for months.
Blockages in shared drainage stacks in townhouse and semi blocks Seized shut-off valves in original seventies and eighties fittings Water heaters at or past the end of their service life Slow leaks at supply connections under sinks and toilets Emergency call-outs where being nearby is the whole point Fixtures reaching the end of their working life together
Being this close means we can usually get to Liverpool faster than anywhere else we cover. Call 647-248-7755 at any hour — if water is running now, say so when you call.
